Quebec To Rocher-Percé via Ste-Anne-des-Monts & Gaspé - Putting On The Miles

We didn't get a chance to do our blog for this day but there wasn't much to record.  The road on the south shore of the St Lawrence is quite uneventful.  While the road is uneventful, the scenery is something else.  On the south side, you have hills and mountains coming right down alongside the road that has been pushed along the shoreline.  On the north side you have the St Lawrence ..... which isn't its usual calm self like it is between Montreal and Quebec City or even between Quebec City and Rimouski or Riviere de Loup.  Once you get past this part of the Gaspe, it's a whole new territory.  You have to wonder how the early settlers managed to eke out a living in this neck of the woods.

However, we finally made it to Rocher Perce and our motel.  Tomorrow we start to explore the area.
